This incident resulted in the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
